Elegant, authentic and of quality.
Exclusively in our showroom until November 30th, in collaboration with STØV, a new and unprecedented exhibition of vintage Danish chairs and carpets, carefully selected to offer you something unique, refined and more than ever current.
From the Denmark of the ’50s and ’60s, vintage design chairs and textile masterpieces able to give character and a touch of originality to any environment: a set of chairs designed by Kai Kristiansen for a dining room or a meeting room, a unique piece like the Model No. 48 by Erik Kirkegaard for a living room or bedroom, or something a little more eccentric, like the Ulrich and Blixen rugs, also perfect for an office or study.
Danish Delight’s companion is a vignette of three mid-century carpets woven at Sweden’s famous MMF (Märta Måås-Fjetterström). Renowned for flatweaves and knotted relief-pile rugs (MMF rugs are in Swedish and British royal residences), MMF’s ethos echoes our own: standards are never compromised.
No story about Swedish carpets can be told without a mention of Märta Måås-Fjetterström. A surprisingly prolific designer, she designed some 650 rugs and tapestries during her lifetime. In 1919, at the age of 46, Märta Måås-Fjetterström founded the weaving studio that bears her name. Her sketches were – and still are – interpreted and transformed into hand-woven masterpieces by skilled artisan weavers. Many of the country’s most talented designers have worked for his studio. Since its founding, the Märta Måås-Fjetterström studio continues to create carpets and tapestries of exceptional artistic significance and surprising quality.
