In the new Riflessi catalog, with concept and styling by Bruno Tarsia and photographs by Lorenzo Pennati, the brand's table collection, a spokesperson for the Italian tailoring tradition in furniture, is combined with the most iconic rugs from the Battilossi collection in settings that emanate timeless luxury and unmatched artisanal quality.

AVITA

The desire of Battilossi behind the Avita collection is to give a flat-weave rug, usually associated with Kilim and Dhurrie, a more refined and sophisticated taste. Our intention is to create an exceptional product with such complex craftsmanship and a density so high as to eliminate the perceived difference between a hand-knotted rug and a flat-weave construction. To achieve this goal, we have identified and experimented with various weaving and embroidery techniques (soumak), enhancing an already more pronounced and substantial flat surface (kilim). Salt has the scent of the sea, the roughness of the sand, and the bright tones of nature. Intense yet natural colours, the finest handspun Ghazni wool, kilim weaving and mixed weft wrapping techniques (soumak) come together to give the collection a unique look.

The collection is made from the highest quality Tibetan wool and linen and is hand-knotted in the Kathmandu Valley. The structure enhances the quality of the materials and the artisanal skill, where every element is the result of a process designed to combine aesthetics and functionality in perfect balance, in a piece that brings together design and craftsmanship in an elegant and refined whole.
The textures, designed to offer a pleasant tactile sensation, add depth and character, while the discreet and refined design adapts to various stylistic interpretations. Every detail testifies to meticulous attention to quality and a strong connection to artisanal tradition, reinterpreted in a contemporary way.
